Our camping spot, I need that teepee tent! 😍
Dancing with my girl 💕
It feels surreal to write about Meadow going to string summit because back when Mitchell and I were only dating we awkwardly joked about bringing our future kiddos there, haha.
String summit is one of our favorite music festivals because the location is so beautiful. The venue is nestled in the forest and all the trees are covered in moss, there’s ferns everywhere, and a pond where you can rent paddle boats. Everyone is so friendly and happy, it feels like family. It’s hard to put it into words, you just gotta go!
I was a bit nervous to bring Meadow but it was so kid friendly and there were so many babies and other children! They had a kids area where there was; face paint, arts and crafts, story time, a puppet show, and Meadow was even in the kids parade which was led by March fourth (awesome funky band from Portland). She was so happy running around, laughing, we kept getting compliments because she was dancing so hard. The coolest part for me was watching her play with other children because at 15 months she’s not too social but there was a little boy she kept chasing. She is becoming such a little girl! 😭
After the festival was over, we went for a much needed bath….bagby hot springs. That place is awesome, also highly recommended. During our hike there, a women was burning sage on her hike out, and it felt so nice to have that cleansing of any negative energy prior to arriving at the springs. There is glitter here and there, and fuzzy great moss covering everything, the trees and rocks felt like styrofoam. It is a truly magical and wondrous place. We all left happily refreshed and grateful.
